I was raised on SoCal beaches and soap operas. In high school, I wrote and performed an original poem that won me a scholarship to San Diego Junior Theatre. I also participated in Shakespeare competitions and studied at the Old Globe Theater before going to UCLA for a B.A. in English/Creative Writing. I’ve published poetry and prose in journals, a textbook by Oxford University Press, and a New York Times-bestselling anthology.

I’ve modeled for lifestyle/catalog/print work for nearly a decade and worked in the event marketing industry for around the same amount of time. Prior to that, I managed a boutique financial services firm, was the Treasurer of a non-profit, and taught English abroad in Japan.

I consider myself a modern renaissance woman who needs to be engaged in creativity, art, investing, philosophy, science, religion, and various other musings to feel satisfied with life.
